The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bermudo Errazquin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rumaldo Caldueño went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 14 played minutes AC Cholupa Mecanica got a freekick which was hit by Garin Gala. INDEPENDIENTE FC's Rumaldo Caldueño got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Rumaldo Caldueño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. INDEPENDIENTE FC's Ignado Cortada proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save INDEPENDIENTE FC from getting a goal against them. Pablo-Enrique Pujals sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to INDEPENDIENTE FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Rodolfo Padolles hit a great ball. Rumaldo Caldueño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rumaldo Caldueño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Bermudo Errazquin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bermudo Errazquin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claris Lisarra, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 34 minutes into the match, Garin Gala notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of INDEPENDIENTE FC's Ignado Cortada. Ignado Cortada was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cibran Machado during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cibran Machado hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. When Caracakingo Cabero fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC Cholupa Mecanica's protests and gave Caracakingo Cabero a yellow card for diving instead. Caracakingo Cabero kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Rumaldo Caldueño recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Pablo-Enrique Pujals had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Garin Gala made the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Rumaldo Caldueño mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the INDEPENDIENTE FC and the AC Cholupa Mecanica players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rumaldo Caldueño kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Pablo-Enrique Pujals received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Ignado Cortada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 57 minutes into the game, AC Cholupa Mecanica's Cibran Machado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ignado Cortada made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. When Rumaldo Caldueño came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the INDEPENDIENTE FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rumaldo Caldueño couldn't finish the play. In the 63rd minute, INDEPENDIENTE FC's Claris Lisarra dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. 67 minutes into the match, AC Cholupa Mecanica's goalkeeper Bermudo Errazquin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rumaldo Caldueño. If Claris Lisarra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bermudo Errazquin came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by INDEPENDIENTE FC's Rumaldo Caldueño. But to his dismay, Rumaldo Caldueño quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Claris Lisarra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bermudo Errazquin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. A collision led to AC Cholupa Mecanica getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Caracakingo Cabero hit a great ball. Rumaldo Caldueño blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bermudo Errazquin having to make a save. After 87 minutes of play AC Cholupa Mecanica's Caracakingo Cabero was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Caracakingo Cabero hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. A collision led to INDEPENDIENTE FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Claris Lisarra hit a great ball. Rumaldo Caldueño struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Bermudo Errazquin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for INDEPENDIENTE FC. When the final whistle sounded INDEPENDIENTE FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than AC Cholupa Mecanica.
