Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Cordarryl Baroja got the match started through his kick off. The Sabananueva FC fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when Sabananueva FC's Edilberto Cirion looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some careless play in the Sotomayor defense, Turi Casasola kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vicente Urdapilleta. The Sotomayor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vicente Urdapilleta should have stopped the shot. In the 10th match minute, Sabananueva FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inacio Suazo to maneuver through the defense. Vicente Urdapilleta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Turi Casasola's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Gaizkine Aristegui took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cordarryl Baroja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Sabananueva FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Emiliano Burgoa hit a great ball. A collision led to Sotomayor getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Mirande Rubin hit a great ball. After 30 played minutes Sotomayor got a freekick which was hit by Loreto Zambranos. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Turi Casasola in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vicente Urdapilleta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gaizkine Aristegui showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cordarryl Baroja, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Nazario Gavito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Sotomayor booed when Sabananueva FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ebardo Zulueta didn't get a good kick on the ball. 46 minutes into the game, Turi Casasola cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Vicente Urdapilleta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Turi Casasola to strike the kick off in the second half. Sotomayor's Nazario Gavito got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 56th minute, Venceslas Guisla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vicente Urdapilleta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edilberto Cirion in the 61st minute. Nazario Gavito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Gaizkine Aristegui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nazario Gavito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute, Cordarryl Baroja ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gaizkine Aristegui was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Vicente Urdapilleta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edilberto Cirion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rdth minute of the game Cordarryl Baroja who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sabananueva FC's Gaizkine Aristegui was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 85 minutes of play, Sotomayor's Cordarryl Baroja made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gaizkine Aristegui was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 91st match minute, Sabananueva FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emiliano Burgoa to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute, Venceslas Guisla sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sabananueva FC's Gaizkine Aristegui didn't even have to move. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
