In the 6th minute Gutierrre Sarricolea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guipuzkoa Telo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 9 minutes, Cleto Nadal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Amborquito FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cleto Nadal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guipuzkoa Telo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gutierrre Sarricolea in the 10th minute of play. 1-0 became the score in the 11th minute when Gutierrre Sarricolea elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 16 minutes into the match, Cleto Nadal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Guipuzkoa Telo. Juventud Caribe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cleto Nadal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Patricio Rosser hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Guipuzkoa Telo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cleto Nadal in the 24th minute. Theodore Pelaez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Donato Enciso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gutierrre Sarricolea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Juventud Caribe's zone, Cleto Nadal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guipuzkoa Telo came out of the goal and Cleto Nadal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Theodore Pelaez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Enciso having to interfere. Gutierrre Sarricolea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guipuzkoa Telo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Gutierrre Sarricolea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Gutierrre Sarricolea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guipuzkoa Telo was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. The referee felt a red card was in order, 69 minutes into the game, when Joaquin Sola put in a rough tackle. Nazario Charri placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gutierrre Sarricolea in the 89th minute of play forced Juventud Caribe's goalkeeper Guipuzkoa Telo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute Gutierrre Sarricolea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guipuzkoa Telo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
