The audience thought a goal was coming when Egoi Erus got free with Cordareo Goicoechea in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. TapitaBlanca FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Egoi Erus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tenay's Cordareo Goicoechea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Colon Garantos in the 46th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Egoi Erus to make the kick off. TapitaBlanca FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tenay the free kick. After a rather tough play, TapitaBlanca FC's Frutos Rino got a free kick in the 78th minute. The audience was convinced that Egoi Erus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cordareo Goicoechea was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. TapitaBlanca FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
