In the 10th minute, Eleuterio Huercanos made a precise shot to the right of Elizardo Yurre. Guatica FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Eleuterio Huercanos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elizardo Yurre having to make a save. After having played for 17 minutes, Eleuterio Huercanos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.D Escuela Mayor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eleuterio Huercanos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valentino Ospina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elizardo Yurre having to interfere. After having played for 21 minutes, Valentino Ospina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valentino Ospina couldn't finish the play. Elizardo Yurre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eleuterio Huercanos in the 55th minute of play. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Valentino Ospina sped through Guatica FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Elizardo Yurre. 59 minutes into the game, Eleuterio Huercanos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Elizardo Yurre. Eleuterio Huercanos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. 62 minutes into the match, Valentino Ospina notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Guatica FC's Elizardo Yurre. Elizardo Yurre was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A hard shot 73 in the game by Valentino Ospina from a close distance when the talented Elizardo Yurre managed to make a qualified save. Guatica FC's players were relieved. In the 74th minute, Eleuterio Huercanos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Elizardo Yurre. The goal made the score 0-7. Valentino Ospina could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Elizardo Yurre made a huge save. In the 80th minute, Eleuterio Huercanos made a precise shot to the right of Elizardo Yurre. Guatica FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rius Andibidria during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Guatica FC's zone, Valentino Ospina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elizardo Yurre came out of the goal and Valentino Ospina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 95 minutes into the match, C.D Escuela Mayor's Valentino Ospina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elizardo Yurre narrowly saved just below the crossbar. C.D Escuela Mayor's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
