Gaston Galli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Blas Goxenola went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the USTA FC defense, Blas Goxenola kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gaston Galli. The USTA FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gaston Galli should have stopped the shot. 34 minutes into the match, Olympik AS's goal looked a bit too open when Ekaitz Novales came free, but Rene Fariñada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Olympik AS's Rene Fariñada got control of the ball when Andres Labarra tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rene Fariñada made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Andres Labarra sent off a good shot on target. If Andres Labarra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. After the first half Olympik AS were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andres Labarra to make the kick off. USTA FC were furious when Tercero Plasencia was red carded, 53 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 52 minutes into the game, one of USTA FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Olympik AS a penalty, 55 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Luix Sordo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of USTA FC's Gaston Galli. 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andres Labarra in the 62nd minute of play forced Olympik AS's goalkeeper Rene Fariñada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, USTA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Blas Goxenola came free, but Gaston Galli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Geofredo Biñe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaston Galli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blas Goxenola in the 69th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, USTA FC's goalkeeper Gaston Galli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aztore Loizaga. Andres Labarra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Rene Fariñada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaston Galli made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Uxio Carvajal sent off a good shot on target. The USTA FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Olympik AS's performance. The match ended with a win for Olympik AS.
