When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Andres Labarra sped through Academia los XI del barri's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cleto Ayasti. In the 12th minute, Ekaitz Novales left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The USTA FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Cleto Ayasti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andres Labarra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute Ekaitz Novales shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cleto Ayasti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, USTA FC's Ruben Aparicio got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Zuzen Zugarrondo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 32 minutes into the match, Zuzen Zugarrondo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gaston Galli, 1-2. USTA FC's Gaston Galli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save USTA FC from getting a goal against them. The wind increased when Andres Labarra made the kick off in the second half. When Joam Irigoyen fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored USTA FC's protests and gave Joam Irigoyen a yellow card for diving instead. 51 minutes into the game, one of USTA FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 53rd minute there was a penalty for Academia los XI del barri. Cordearo Barquerin stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gaston Galli. 2-2. Valente Domene's late challenge caught a USTA FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valente Domene helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of USTA FC booed when Academia los XI del barri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valente Domene didn't get a good kick on the ball. Beltran Varez hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. USTA FC's Gaston Galli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lorenz Valdes in the 81st minute of play. Andres Labarra came free with the goalkeeper in the 85th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cleto Ayasti could save by the left post. In the 90th match minute, USTA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Urroz to maneuver through the defense. After 98 minutes, Inocente Galisteo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Academia los XI del barri and the USTA FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The Academia los XI del barri fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. USTA FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
