Blas Goxenola in the 12thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Roger Aranguiz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bemabe Torrealba during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bemabe Torrealba hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Rene Fariñada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnulfo Velicia in the 17th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Olympik AS's Blas Goxenola got a free kick in the 19th minute. After 20 minutes, Iztal Serdio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guapoton and the Olympik AS players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 23 played minutes Blas Goxenola could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 1-0 into the left cross. Rene Fariñada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xurdin Michelena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rene Fariñada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bemabe Torrealba, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xurdin Michelena in the 35th minute of play forced Olympik AS's goalkeeper Rene Fariñada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Blas Goxenola notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Guapoton's Roger Aranguiz. The wind increased when Xurdin Michelena made the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Olympik AS got a freekick which was hit by Geofredo Biñe. Aztore Loizaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Blas Goxenola came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Olympik AS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Blas Goxenola couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Blas Goxenola managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olympik AS's supporters rose to their feet, but Blas Goxenola was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roger Aranguiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rene Fariñada didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bemabe Torrealba went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Roger Aranguiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blas Goxenola in the 79th minute of play. After having played for 82 minutes, Xicu Mella managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olympik AS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xicu Mella was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benvido Cetina kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Roger Aranguiz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Blas Goxenola's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. In the 87th minute Aztore Loizaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Aranguiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Geofredo Biñe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 96th match minute, Guapoton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernad Espriella to maneuver through the defense. Olympik AS were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Guapoton to leave the ground with a draw.
