An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonsalvo Dean in the 14th minute of play forced FENIX FC's goalkeeper Manolito Noguer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manolito Noguer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonsalvo Dean, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Club Atletico Nacional's Stephen Balaunde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osasun Tarulla in the 19th minute of play. The supporters of Club Atletico Nacional booed when FENIX FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emmanuel Bacete didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lertxun Santiuste's late challenge caught a Club Atletico Nacional's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manolito Noguer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chan Arcaya in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manolito Noguer saved FENIX FC from getting behind. FENIX FC's Emmanuel Bacete got his second yellow card of the match in the 94th minute. The referee ordered Emmanuel Bacete off the ground. After a rather tough play, FENIX FC's Emmanuel Bacete got a free kick in the 94th minute. Club Atletico Nacional were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
