FENIX FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Santafecito Lindo's Mendebal Melic proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Santafecito Lindo from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Santafecito Lindo's Milio Perucho got a free kick in the 13th minute. Mancio Cano hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Isidro Traveso kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. A collision led to FENIX FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Lertxun Santiuste hit a great ball. After having played for 25 minutes, Chinto Naredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santafecito Lindo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chinto Naredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chinto Naredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manolito Noguer having to interfere. After 40 played minutes, FENIX FC's Porfirio Palomarez shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mendebal Melic came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FENIX FC reached it. Mendebal Melic made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isidro Traveso in the 42nd minute. Isidro Traveso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Mendebal Melic made a huge save. Isidro Traveso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Mendebal Melic tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Osasun Tarulla made a kick off. Mendebal Melic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osasun Tarulla in the 56th minute of the match. Mendebal Melic took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidro Traveso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute Lertxun Santiuste shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mendebal Melic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emmanuel Bacete in the 66th minute of play forced Santafecito Lindo's goalkeeper Mendebal Melic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
