Suero Zubiaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Lions's goal looked a bit too open when Caracakingo Adurza came free, but Gilmar Villornate reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Euloxu Acha dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gilmar Villornate, 2-0. Lions's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Caracakingo Adurza scored to the left of an out of position Gilmar Villornate, making the score, 3-0. In the 29th minute of the match, Caracakingo Adurza tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gilmar Villornate saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Gilmar Villornate showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernandez Tijero in the 36th minute of the match. Lions's Gilmar Villornate played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernandez Tijero in the 41st minute of play. Lions's Gilmar Villornate proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Lions from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Xinto Riero to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Lions got a freekick which was hit by Montez Villarragut. Virila Lena helped the player get up and apologised. In the 61st minute, Virila Lena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gilmar Villornate took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Euloxu Acha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lions's goalkeeper Gilmar Villornate, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gilmar Villornate showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernandez Tijero in the 67th minute of the match. After 70 minutes of play Lions's Virila Lena was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some careless play in the Lions defense, Hernandez Tijero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gilmar Villornate. The Lions fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilmar Villornate should have stopped the shot. 81 minutes into the match, Lions's goal looked a bit too open when Hernandez Tijero came free, but Gilmar Villornate reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caracakingo Adurza in the 91st minute of play forced Lions's goalkeeper Gilmar Villornate to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. INDEPENDIENTE MANRIQUE's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
