Estudiantes jr's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave EL TIERNITO FC the free kick. In the 10th match minute, Estudiantes jr was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frutos Parra to maneuver through the defense. Onbera Romay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Gabon Magarinos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osmundo Cañete who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Dan Bergman when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 19th minute, Estudiantes jr's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Orland Tella fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Belarmo Armida kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After 27 played minutes, Estudiantes jr's Rutenio Mangual shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gabon Magarinos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Estudiantes jr reached it. Orland Tella struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Dan Bergman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for EL TIERNITO FC. Inocente Ruiz scored 0-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gabon Magarinos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 37th minute Onbera Romay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabon Magarinos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Orland Tella managed to get in a good position for a shot. EL TIERNITO FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Orland Tella was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dan Bergman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Osmundo Cañete in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dan Bergman saved Estudiantes jr from getting behind. 48 minutes into the game, Orland Tella cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Dan Bergman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iago Saribiarte was the one to do the kick off. After 55 played minutes Estudiantes jr got a freekick which was hit by Inocente Ruiz. Orland Tella recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Orland Tella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabon Magarinos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iago Saribiarte in the 62nd minute of play. Dan Bergman came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by EL TIERNITO FC's Orland Tella. But to his dismay, Orland Tella quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. When Eladio Terrazos fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Estudiantes jr's protests and gave Eladio Terrazos a yellow card for diving instead. After 71 played minutes Estudiantes jr got a freekick which was hit by Eladio Terrazos. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebio Cascallana in the 74th minute of play forced EL TIERNITO FC's goalkeeper Gabon Magarinos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the game, Onbera Romay lined in a short shot 2-2 behind a frustrated Gabon Magarinos. Dan Bergman came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by EL TIERNITO FC's Osmundo Cañete. But to his dismay, Osmundo Cañete quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. With an all-out effort, Estudiantes jr's Gabon Magarinos threw himself towards the right post 88 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Iago Saribiarte, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Belarmo Armida lost his temper 90 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 89th minute of the game. One of EL TIERNITO FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Estudiantes jr:s goal. Osmundo Cañete scored 4-3 in the 98th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dan Bergman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. EL TIERNITO FC had played much better football throughout.
