Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Pepillo Pecina got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, Kiniquiari's Xinto Barbeito got a free kick in the 4th minute. 5 minutes into the match, Matapalito's Rik Valiño sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Caton Legarda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 8 minutes into the game, Jatsu Villarin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kiniquiari's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Matapalito the free kick. Jatsu Villarin hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Cebo Millares who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Caton Legarda when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Matapalito booed when Kiniquiari was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damario Guera didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 24 played minutes Kiniquiari got a freekick which was hit by Damario Guera. After a defensive mix-up in Kiniquiari's zone, Cebo Millares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Caton Legarda came out of the goal and Cebo Millares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jairo Carass short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Caton Legarda to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 35 minutes of play Kiniquiari's Damario Guera was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Kiniquiari getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Damario Guera hit a great ball. If Jairo Caras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute Rik Valiño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caton Legarda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jairo Caras blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Caton Legarda having to make a save. Rik Valiño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Caton Legarda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jairo Caras in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Caton Legarda saved Kiniquiari from getting behind. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jairo Caras was the one to do the kick off. Caton Legarda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cebo Millares in the 54th minute of the match. If Tuste Afonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 60 minutes into the match, Kiniquiari's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Caras came free, but Caton Legarda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jairo Caras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 67th minute by Bastia Jolis got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Matapalito's Tuste Afonso got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 72 minutes in the game, Jairo Caras dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Caton Legarda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tuste Afonso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Jairo Caras managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matapalito's supporters rose to their feet, but Jairo Caras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caton Legarda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rik Valiño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Caton Legarda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tuste Afonso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caton Legarda having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Jairo Caras notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Kiniquiari's Caton Legarda. Caton Legarda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cebo Millares struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Caton Legarda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Matapalito. Caton Legarda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jairo Caras's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. In the 94thth minute of the game Jairo Caras who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kiniquiari's Caton Legarda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jairo Caras in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Caton Legarda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Matapalito fully deserved thier win.
