Irrintzi Piñeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quexal Galaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. If Quexal Galaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lizardi Guiles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Cristian Penagos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Irrintzi Piñeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quexal Galaz in the 30th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lizardi Guiles in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristian Penagos saved Toros de Cali FC from getting behind. In the 36th match minute, Toros de Cali FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Veto Gandarillas to maneuver through the defense. After 37 played minutes, Cafeteros FC's Lico Juarbe shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cristian Penagos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cafeteros FC reached it. 42 minutes into the match, Fliz Hornilla notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Cafeteros FC's Irrintzi Piñeira. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermengildo Confercin in the 99th minute of play forced Toros de Cali FC's goalkeeper Cristian Penagos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Toros de Cali FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
