The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes into the match, Santa Fe DH's goal looked a bit too open when Savion Orbea came free, but Marcial Bero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gaudencio Beltranilla's late challenge caught a Santa Fe DH's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaudencio Beltranilla helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th match minute, Potreritos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaudencio Beltranilla to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Potreritos getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Salamon Zalvide hit a great ball. Efrain Uribizalgo might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Perdiz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Efrain Uribizalgo ran back to his position shaking his head. If Savion Orbea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 26 played minutes Santa Fe DH got a freekick which was hit by Marcelino Treviño. Potreritos's Savion Orbea got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 31 minutes, Marcial Bero successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Efrain Uribizalgo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Pedro Perdiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 39 played minutes Potreritos got a freekick which was hit by Gaudencio Beltranilla. Marcelino Treviño's late challenge caught a Potreritos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcelino Treviño helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Santa Fe DH's Marcelino Treviño got a free kick in the 41st minute. When Justo Cembrana came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Potreritos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Justo Cembrana couldn't finish the play. Santa Fe DH's Marcelino Treviño got his second yellow card of the match in the 43rd minute. The referee ordered Marcelino Treviño off the ground. Marcelino Treviño hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Savion Orbea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Potreritos's Pedro Perdiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaquiel Villaro in the 56th minute of play. After 59 played minutes Potreritos got a freekick which was hit by Justo Cembrana. Marcial Bero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Savion Orbea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 67th minute of the game. One of Santa Fe DH:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Potreritos:s goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justo Cembrana in the 78th minute of play forced Santa Fe DH's goalkeeper Marcial Bero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Savion Orbea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcial Bero. Santa Fe DH's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Savion Orbea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Zaquiel Villaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Perdiz having to interfere. Santa Fe DH's Marcial Bero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Savion Orbea in the 88th minute of play. In the 89th minute Gaudencio Beltranilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Bero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Justo Cembrana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcial Bero having to interfere. 94 minutes into the game, Gaudencio Beltranilla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Marcial Bero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Santa Fe DH's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Potreritos had won, even though Santa Fe DH had held more of the ball.
