In the 8thth minute of the game Celso Bobadilla who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Toros de Cali FC's Cristian Penagos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Quexal Galaz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Xzavion Romerano. That made the score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. If Quexal Galaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erasto Añoza's late challenge caught a Toros de Cali FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erasto Añoza helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th match minute, Guiripa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasto Añoza to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Penagos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominic Munguira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Dominic Munguira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guiripa FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dominic Munguira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristian Penagos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 33 minutes, Quexal Galaz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Toros de Cali FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Quexal Galaz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fliz Hornillas short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Xzavion Romerano to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some careless play in the Toros de Cali FC defense, Dominic Munguira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristian Penagos. The Toros de Cali FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristian Penagos should have stopped the shot. In the 42nd minute, Celso Bobadilla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristian Penagos was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Xzavion Romerano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fliz Hornilla in the 46th minute. The Toros de Cali FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Guiripa FC were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Celso Bobadilla made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Guaberto Garoña hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fliz Hornilla in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Xzavion Romerano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Quexal Galaz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Xzavion Romerano was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. With a little luck, Toros de Cali FC's Cristian Penagos got control of the ball when Dominic Munguira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cristian Penagos stood somewhat misplaced when Celso Bobadilla came free in front of goal and shot 1-3 to the left of him in the 63 minute. Fliz Hornilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xzavion Romerano having to interfere. Guiripa FC's Xzavion Romerano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fliz Hornilla in the 69th minute of play. Dominic Munguira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Cristian Penagos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Celso Bobadilla kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cristian Penagos. That made the score 1-4 in the 75 minute of play. Guiripa FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
