Hermengildo Zurica's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frasquito Abin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Frasquito Abin was a little too slow when Hermengildo Zurica got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 1-0. With a little luck, América de cali's Frasquito Abin got control of the ball when Xalbador Encina tried to sneak it across the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 24 minutes, Frasquito Abin successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Xalbador Encina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frasquito Abin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Xalbador Encina went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cris Oñez in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eleder Binas saved París Saint-Germain FC from getting behind. Frasquito Abin made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Xalbador Encina sent off a good shot on target. In the 41st match minute, América de cali was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cris Oñez to maneuver through the defense. Xalbador Encina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cris Oñez made a kick off. With 52 minutes on the clock, Sustrai Anton commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in París Saint-Germain FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 52nd minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 54 minutes, América de cali's Brion Mayre got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. Lucila Senties received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eleder Binas came out and tried to block the shot, but Lucila Senties slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 64th minute. Dagoberto Escapa struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Frasquito Abin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for París Saint-Germain FC. Frasquito Abin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Xalbador Encina went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. If Dagoberto Escapa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dagoberto Escapa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Frasquito Abin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Dagoberto Escapa managed to get in a good position for a shot. París Saint-Germain FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dagoberto Escapa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frasquito Abin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 85th minute, Xalbador Encina got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 86 played minutes América de cali got a freekick which was hit by Montrell Salgueiro. 88 minutes into the game, Montrell Salgueiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. América de cali's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave París Saint-Germain FC the free kick. The supporters of París Saint-Germain FC booed when América de cali was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Montrell Salgueiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frasquito Abin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xalbador Encina in the 92nd minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Xalbador Encina ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frasquito Abin was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. París Saint-Germain FC fully deserved thier win.
