After 12 minutes, Xzaiver Cembrana mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Inter Latino FC and the COSMOS players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 13th minute of the match Christovao Pipa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Xayveon Zayas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 15th minute, Pio Duque got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Frans Oliveros struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Godofredo Arteaga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inter Latino FC. In the 23rd minute Pio Duque shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xayveon Zayas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Godofredo Arteaga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Etxekopar Carreira in the 25th minute of the match. In the 28th minute Benito Berlanga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xayveon Zayas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xayveon Zayas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benito Berlanga in the 29th minute of play. COSMOS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Christovao Pipa in the 36th minute. After taking down the ball on COSMOS's corner Christovao Pipa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Xayveon Zayas quite easily take care of the ball. In the 39th minute of the match, Etxekopar Carreira tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Godofredo Arteaga saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. COSMOS's Godofredo Arteaga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save COSMOS from getting a goal against them. When COSMOS's Pio Duque in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Inter Latino FC's goalie prevented a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Etxekopar Carreira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Etxekopar Carreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Godofredo Arteaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to COSMOS getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Iztal Alcano hit a great ball. When Etxekopar Carreira came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Inter Latino FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Etxekopar Carreira couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benito Berlanga in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Xayveon Zayas saved Inter Latino FC from getting behind. When Xzaiver Cembrana was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 63 minutes had been played. A collision led to Inter Latino FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Xzaiver Cembrana hit a great ball. Benito Berlanga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 75 minutes, Xayveon Zayas successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 75th play minute Benito Berlanga came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Xayveon Zayas. 1-1. When Frans Oliveros came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Inter Latino FC fans jumped to their feet. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benito Berlanga in the 96th minute of play forced Inter Latino FC's goalkeeper Xayveon Zayas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
