Guter Verde's late challenge caught a América de cali's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guter Verde helped the player get up and apologised. In the 31st match minute, Tofeme was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guter Verde to maneuver through the defense. Cris Oñez took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Peruanton Bellosillo. Peruanton Bellosillo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enaut Bodegas in the 40th minute of play forced América de cali's goalkeeper Frasquito Abin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute Cris Oñez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peruanton Bellosillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Rene Aguayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half América de cali were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cris Oñez to make the kick off. When Cris Oñez came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the América de cali fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cris Oñez couldn't finish the play. In the 54th minute, América de cali's Cris Oñez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Peruanton Bellosillo. Peruanton Bellosillo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. In the 56th minute, Pietro Arri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cris Oñez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to América de cali getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Rai Aldeis hit a great ball. Frasquito Abin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enaut Bodegas in the 66th minute of play. Frasquito Abin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Enaut Bodegas's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Cris Oñez managed to get in a good position for a shot. América de cali's supporters rose to their feet, but Cris Oñez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Peruanton Bellosillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pietro Arri kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Peruanton Bellosillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cris Oñez in the 75th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cris Oñez in the 80th minute of play forced Tofeme's goalkeeper Peruanton Bellosillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Aquilino Recio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Tofeme's zone, Cris Oñez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Peruanton Bellosillo came out of the goal and Cris Oñez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rey Arco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Peruanton Bellosillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enaut Bodegas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Frasquito Abin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tofeme's Laurendi Estua got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aquilino Recio hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. 94 minutes into the match, Tofeme's Enaut Bodegas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Frasquito Abin narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
