The G de graafschap fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelito Martines should have stopped the shot. Marcelito Martines made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Cotoi in the 13th minute of play. Caligaris's Ugaitz Toraño got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Malcolm Middel kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Caligaris's Edgar Bronicki suffered a concussion in the 21st minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. A collision led to G de graafschap getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Henry Valcarcel hit a great ball. Ugaitz Toraño took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcelito Martines. Marcelito Martines dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After a rather tough play, G de graafschap's Baldomiro Tordesillas got a free kick in the 34th minute. The audience was convinced that Eric Cotoi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcelito Martines was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. After 38 minutes, Eric Cotoi made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. G de graafschap's Marcelito Martines tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcelito Martines showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eric Cotoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After 82 minutes, Eric Cotoi made it 0-8 with a short kick to the right side. G de graafschap's Marcelito Martines tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 85 minutes into the match, Ugaitz Toraño had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelito Martines. The supporters of G de graafschap booed when Caligaris was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Rios didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caligaris played a much better game than G de graafschap and deserved their victory. The G de graafschap players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
