Lucila Barraza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gasteiz Luga in the 17th minute of the match. The supporters of Cincelada FC booed when Zion was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicanor Ubera didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iigo Diez hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After 38 minutes, Björn Petersson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cincelada FC and the Zion players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 38th match minute, Cincelada FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Björn Petersson to maneuver through the defense. Lucila Barraza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zornin Espineiro in the 41st minute of play. Niguel Varaona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roi Jaraba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Avgust Tetevenski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niguel Varaona having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xines Holguin in the 48th minute of play forced Cincelada FC's goalkeeper Lucila Barraza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Björn Petersson to make the kick off. Zornin Espineiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Lucila Barraza made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Zion's zone, Avgust Tetevenski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niguel Varaona came out of the goal and Avgust Tetevenski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gasteiz Luga's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Lucila Barraza firmly grabbed it by the left post. A collision led to Zion getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Iigo Diez hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zornin Espineiro got free with Lucila Barraza in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 70th match minute, Zion was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iigo Diez to maneuver through the defense. If Avgust Tetevenski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 73 minutes, Avgust Tetevenski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cincelada FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Avgust Tetevenski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 76 minutes into the match, Zion's goal looked a bit too open when Avgust Tetevenski came free, but Niguel Varaona reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Asteri Canal fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zion's protests and gave Asteri Canal a yellow card for diving instead. Björn Petersson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Niguel Varaona tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Cincelada FC's Avgust Tetevenski in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Björn Petersson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Zion getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Donzel Cuquejo hit a great ball. 96 minutes into the game, Björn Petersson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Niguel Varaona was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cincelada FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Zion had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
