Pellas Cardoza hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the match, CUCUTA FUTBOLET's goal looked a bit too open when Rosario Santa came free, but Castel Alda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in CUCUTA FUTBOLET's zone, Rosario Santa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Castel Alda came out of the goal and Rosario Santa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valiente Sopuerta received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Senon Batalle came out and tried to block the shot, but Valiente Sopuerta slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 39th minute. After a rather tough play, Los Primos's Caton Malvido got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 51st minute, CUCUTA FUTBOLET's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rosario Santa fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind CUCUTA FUTBOLET's goalkeeper Castel Alda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
