The audience was convinced that Xalbador Fuentes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nataniel Trevijano was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. In the 22nd minute Montes Arveras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bizen Roberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Santa Fe booed when Canaguaro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorien Cobos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vicemte Valiente recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xalbador Fuentes in the 28th minute of play forced Santa Fe's goalkeeper Nataniel Trevijano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Santa Fe getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Tohias Cotillos hit a great ball. After 32 played minutes Santa Fe got a freekick which was hit by Ximeno Montoto. Xalbador Fuentes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nataniel Trevijano having to interfere. After 44 minutes, Luzaide Pabon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Canaguaro and the Santa Fe players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th match minute, Canaguaro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luzaide Pabon to maneuver through the defense. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Xalbador Fuentes made the kick off in the second half. Ximeno Montoto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. After recieving a nice pass, Canaguaro's Lander Giralte tried to score from far away in the 81st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 84 minutes, Jurgi Leyarte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Canaguaro and the Santa Fe players grew even worse after the yellow card.
