When Montes Arveras fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santa Fe's protests and gave Montes Arveras a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th minute, Montes Arveras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Akakios Kakavitsas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Montes Arveras in the 19th minute of play. Donato Villarmea kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Nataniel Trevijano was a little too slow when Teobald Brack got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 1-0. Nataniel Trevijano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Josu Cuenia in the 30th minute. 31 minutes into the game, Garcia Durango was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Santa Fe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leeds United FC the free kick. 40 minutes into the match, Leeds United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Montes Arveras came free, but Akakios Kakavitsas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mikel Cobos to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teobald Brack in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nataniel Trevijano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Santa Fe's Nataniel Trevijano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teobald Brack in the 77th minute of play. After 79 played minutes Leeds United FC got a freekick which was hit by Frisco Solar. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Gabriel Olaverrieta sped through Santa Fe's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nataniel Trevijano. In the 90th minute, Teobald Brack got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Josu Cuenia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
