With a little luck, Carimagua FC's Francis Carne got control of the ball when Lluciano Quicedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Guillermo Alvisto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francis Carne having to interfere. Leoncio Balaguer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claris Palos, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 22 minutes into the game, Lluciano Quicedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barcelona's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carimagua FC the free kick. Lluciano Quicedo kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. If Guillermo Alvisto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Conrado Buyeres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 28 minutes, Manolito Bernalda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barcelona and the Carimagua FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 30 played minutes, Carimagua FC's Fortunato Santisteban shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Leoncio Balaguer came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Carimagua FC reached it. Leoncio Balaguer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mendebal Riazos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Francis Carne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guillermo Alvisto in the 38th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Carimagua FC's goalkeeper Francis Carne had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lluciano Quicedo. Claris Palos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th match minute, Barcelona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Alvisto to maneuver through the defense. In the 48th minute Lluciano Quicedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francis Carne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When Guillermo Alvisto came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Barcelona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guillermo Alvisto couldn't finish the play. 73 minutes into the game, Barcelona's Guillermo Alvisto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Francis Carne made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Manolito Bernalda got his second yellow card in the match during the 75th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Barcelona's Manolito Bernalda got a free kick in the 76th minute. After 78 minutes, Chago Rascuro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carimagua FC and the Barcelona players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 87th minute, Jeronimo Zaton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 93 minutes into the game, Bernabe Polla threw the ball into play from the sideline. Barcelona's Dalmau Viniegra quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 96 played minutes Barcelona got a freekick which was hit by Alvarez Moneda. Barcelona walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
