He walked away shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in independiente pb's zone, Eron Aldama stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lesardo Zaldua came out of the goal and Eron Aldama tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ciro Sampedro in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lesardo Zaldua saved independiente pb from getting behind. 26 minutes into the game, Barcelona FC's Ciro Sampedro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lesardo Zaldua made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. In the 29th minute, Iliana Iriarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lesardo Zaldua showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Sampedro in the 30th minute of the match. The supporters of Barcelona FC booed when independiente pb was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beat Ezcurra didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Ciro Sampedro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lesardo Zaldua was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Ciro Sampedro had several of the independiente pb's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 61 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-7 score and a disappointed Lesardo Zaldua as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 77th minute, Ruben Díaz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lesardo Zaldua was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciro Sampedro in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lesardo Zaldua prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eron Aldama in the 85th minute of play forced independiente pb's goalkeeper Lesardo Zaldua to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Eron Aldama came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Barcelona FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eron Aldama couldn't finish the play. Lesardo Zaldua showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Sampedro in the 94th minute of the match.
