An unexpectedly hard shot by Van 吕布 in the 42nd minute of play forced Real Cartagena's goalkeeper Edwin Devine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Real Cartagena's Edwin Devine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Sánchez in the 46th minute of play. After 48 minutes of play, Real Cartagena's Dag Ahlrot made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. 吴雄平 was left in no man's land by his defense there!

In the 73rd minute Real Cartagena were awarded a corner. Alonzo Helguera went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Real Cartagena's Alonzo Helguera to fire away a dangerous shot which 吴雄平 despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Van 吕布's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edwin Devine read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. 吴雄平 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dag Ahlrot in the 78th minute of the match. Chus Ayarza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 吴雄平 having to interfere. Real Cartagena's Harris Geraets was substituted for Dag Ahlrot. 吴雄平 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harris Geraets in the 85th minute of play. 吴雄平 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harris Geraets, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Van 吕布 in the 89thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Edwin Devine, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 89 played minutes Real Cartagena got a freekick which was hit by Chus Ayarza. Real Cartagena's Rioja Pedrueca was substituted for Wictor Vestberg. The supporters of Banco booed when Real Cartagena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chus Ayarza didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 94 minutes, Harris Geraets managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Cartagena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harris Geraets was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 99 minutes into the game, Harris Geraets cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. 吴雄平 was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Banco's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
