The referee gave Real Cartagena a penalty, 11 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Alonzo Helguera, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of R.B Leipzig's Marek Žilák. 0-1. A collision led to Real Cartagena getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Alonzo Helguera hit a great ball. Marek Žilák didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dag Ahlrot went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. If Dag Ahlrot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 24 minutes into the match, R.B Leipzig's goal looked a bit too open when Dag Ahlrot came free, but Marek Žilák reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marek Žilák showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dag Ahlrot in the 31st minute of the match. Real Cartagena were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after R.B Leipzig's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alonzo Helguera took the corner. After taking down the ball on Real Cartagena's corner Alonzo Helguera fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marek Žilák quite easily take care of the ball. Ixona Gondin kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 38th minute Wictor Vestberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marek Žilák saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Wictor Vestberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44thth minute of the game Dag Ahlrot who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but R.B Leipzig's Marek Žilák was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

In the 68thth minute of the game Dag Ahlrot who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but R.B Leipzig's Marek Žilák was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wictor Vestberg struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Marek Žilák didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Cartagena. Real Cartagena's Roderick Blind quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Osoitz Cascajares, made in the 73rd minute of the game. Marek Žilák didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dag Ahlrot went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, R.B Leipzig's Osoitz Cascajares got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 83rd minute, Osoitz Cascajares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 89 minutes into the match, R.B Leipzig's goal looked a bit too open when Harris Geraets came free, but Marek Žilák reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rioja Pedrueca blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marek Žilák having to make a save.
