Rigoberto Bastiaro started the match with the kick off. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Glorioso Deportivo Cali's goalkeeper Belmiro Corzana, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ortle Aragon kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Rigoberto Bastiaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Agostinho Maya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rigoberto Bastiaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the match, Glorioso Deportivo Cali's goal looked a bit too open when Bidun Cigüenza came free, but Belmiro Corzana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Mel Ascazua managed to get in a good position for a shot. JUVENTUD GIRARDOT's supporters rose to their feet, but Mel Ascazua was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Belmiro Corzana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Agostinho Maya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rigoberto Bastiaro in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lordi Vilarrubia in the 35th minute of play forced Glorioso Deportivo Cali's goalkeeper Belmiro Corzana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Artur Ponte hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. It was beautiful to see Glorioso Deportivo Cali's Teofilo Mascarañas in action when he in the 45th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 56th minute Rigoberto Bastiaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agostinho Maya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, JUVENTUD GIRARDOT's Ortle Aragon got a free kick in the 70th minute. When Glorioso Deportivo Cali's Rigoberto Bastiaro in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye JUVENTUD GIRARDOT's goalie prevented a goal. Belmiro Corzana came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by JUVENTUD GIRARDOT's Mel Ascazua. But to his dismay, Mel Ascazua quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 89 minutes into the match, JUVENTUD GIRARDOT's goal looked a bit too open when Rigoberto Bastiaro came free, but Agostinho Maya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 90 minutes, Lordi Vilarrubia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. JUVENTUD GIRARDOT's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lordi Vilarrubia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to JUVENTUD GIRARDOT getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Uhin Algarte hit a great ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Glorioso Deportivo Cali eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
