In the 4th minute Tiago Ozuna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agostinho Maya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gora Argandona came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by JUVENTUD GIRARDOT's Mel Ascazua. But to his dismay, Mel Ascazua quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Tiago Ozuna scored 1-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Agostinho Maya, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ildefonso Orense during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 18th minute, Frutos Baltanas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Club Atletico Nacional booed when JUVENTUD GIRARDOT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnalt Astola didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the JUVENTUD GIRARDOT defense, Chris Mahler kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Agostinho Maya. The JUVENTUD GIRARDOT fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Agostinho Maya should have stopped the shot. With 27 minutes on the clock, Baltasar Claudio commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee gave Club Atletico Nacional a penalty, 28 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tiago Ozuna, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of JUVENTUD GIRARDOT's Agostinho Maya. 1-3. In the 32nd minute Rutenio Galdamiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agostinho Maya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gora Argandona made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Bidun Cigüenza sent off a good shot on target. After 39 played minutes JUVENTUD GIRARDOT got a freekick which was hit by Mel Ascazua. Tiago Ozuna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Agostinho Maya read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. After the first half Club Atletico Nacional were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Tiago Ozuna made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rutenio Galdamiz got free with Agostinho Maya in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gora Argandona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bidun Cigüenza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 56 minutes into the match, Mel Ascazua notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Club Atletico Nacional's Gora Argandona. Gora Argandona was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Agostinho Maya made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tiago Ozuna in the 61st minute. Bidun Cigüenza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gora Argandona having to interfere. When Mel Ascazua came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the JUVENTUD GIRARDOT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mel Ascazua couldn't finish the play. Artur Ponte charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Artur Ponte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to JUVENTUD GIRARDOT getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Artur Ponte hit a great ball. Tiago Ozuna scored 2-4 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Agostinho Maya, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tiago Ozuna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agostinho Maya having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Nacional's goal looked a bit too open when Bidun Cigüenza came free, but Gora Argandona reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner ended in Cilio Taran almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Club Atletico Nacional's Gora Argandona did a great save. Gora Argandona showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lordi Vilarrubia in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Artur Ponte ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gora Argandona was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-4. After 87 played minutes Club Atletico Nacional got a freekick which was hit by Rutenio Galdamiz. Arnalt Astola's late challenge caught a Club Atletico Nacional's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnalt Astola helped the player get up and apologised. After 88 played minutes JUVENTUD GIRARDOT got a freekick which was hit by Arnalt Astola. When the final whistle sounded Club Atletico Nacional left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than JUVENTUD GIRARDOT.
