Glorioso Deportivo Cali's Tzvetan Mudrov was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gora Argandona in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Rigoberto Bastiaro took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gora Argandona. Gora Argandona dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Rigoberto Bastiaro in the 29thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gora Argandona, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 30 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Nacional's goal looked a bit too open when Rigoberto Bastiaro came free, but Gora Argandona reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hardi Jucknischke stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Orlondon Zubillaga's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atletico Nacional's goalkeeper Gora Argandona, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 47th minute, Sever Rădescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Glorioso Deportivo Cali's Rigoberto Bastiaro got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rigoberto Bastiaro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gora Argandona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Stones in the 54th minute of play. Bartosz Wicherek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Glorioso Deportivo Cali booed when Club Atletico Nacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurre Prelo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gora Argandona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rigoberto Bastiaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Gora Argandona showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rigoberto Bastiaro in the 67th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico Nacional's zone, Rigoberto Bastiaro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gora Argandona came out of the goal and Rigoberto Bastiaro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Nacional's Rutenio Galdamiz got a free kick in the 81st minute. Rigoberto Bastiaro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gora Argandona having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Glorioso Deportivo Cali had won after a very even match.
