Guaratara's Sanchez Patiño played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliveiro Brena in the 26th minute of play. Benja Cisquella's late challenge caught a Yberia FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benja Cisquella helped the player get up and apologised. If Denis Abaurre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aresti Somavilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amador Redondas in the 41st minute of play. In the 44th minute Amado Malla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aresti Somavilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Denis Abaurre made a kick off. Sanchez Patiño didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 51st minute, which inside left pole to 0-1. Sanchez Patiño showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Abaurre, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Oliveiro Brena's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 95thth minute, Sanchez Patiño skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The Yberia FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
