An unexpectedly hard shot by Orkatz Algara in the 8th minute of play forced Setenta's goalkeeper Diego Lereira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute Nafarroa Licardi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmai Gala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orkatz Algara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diego Lereira having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Macareo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Setenta the free kick. Orkatz Algara hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. The supporters of Macareo FC booed when Setenta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Arzalaga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Orkatz Algara might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diego Lereira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Orkatz Algara ran back to his position shaking his head. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dalmai Gala prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 92 played minutes Macareo FC got a freekick which was hit by Peyo Carranza. In the 95th minute of the match Setenta got a corner. Macareo FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Charro Lara ran over to the corner to take the kick. Setenta's Charro Lara was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dalmai Gala in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. For all the effort they put into the match, the Macareo FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Setenta.
