In the 13th minute of the match, Jaunzuria Cerezo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Caradaro Zuzuarregui saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The supporters of Guariquena booed when Verde FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lisandro Cucurull didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Esiquio Martinez to make the kick off. The Verde FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Caradaro Zuzuarregui should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Esiquio Martinez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Evarado Hesles was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. The Verde FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Verde FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
