With a little luck, Aguacatal's Gilabert Moreira got control of the ball when Hori Justo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aguacatal's Gilabert Moreira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Aguacatal from getting a goal against them. In the 18th minute, Aguacatal's Alonso Bardece seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Alonso Bardece the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Aguacatal protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Alonso Bardece had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 18th minute, one of Aguacatal:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Aguacatal. In the 21st minute there was a penalty for Santoyo. Nemesio Laorden stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gilabert Moreira. 1-1. Rudolfo Feruel charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rudolfo Feruel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The long shot by Hori Justo in the 31st minute really tested Gilabert Moreira's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The supporters of Santoyo booed when Aguacatal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabrio Maysonet didn't get a good kick on the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Aguacatal's goal looked a bit too open when Silvino Adurza came free, but Gilabert Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aguacatal's Gilabert Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Cañedo in the 36th minute of play. Gilabert Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Cañedo in the 42nd minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Olayo Leizaur to make the kick off. Gilabert Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvino Adurza in the 72nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Costante Naveira during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Costante Naveira hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Olayo Leizaur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hulberto Rolan having to interfere. Rudolfo Feruel kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Santoyo's Pero Bazquez got a free kick in the 91st minute. The Santoyo support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
