Izquiel FC's Bernardino Vaquero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernado Ocejo in the 18th minute of play. Rey Tejeido stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Meder Madama's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. 27 minutes into the game, Jakue Hornilla was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Izquiel FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernardino Vaquero should have stopped the shot. Moises Sanjurjo took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernardino Vaquero. Bernardino Vaquero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. When Sendoa Antolin fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Izquiel FC's protests and gave Sendoa Antolin a yellow card for diving instead. Meder Madama sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Meder Madama was the one to do the kick off. Christiano Bruñon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Rey Tejeido made a huge save. In the 58th minute Fernado Ocejo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardino Vaquero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Christiano Bruñon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Izquiel FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Christiano Bruñon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. If Christiano Bruñon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
