Andrea Riega's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frisco Santavida read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. After some careless play in the Espana defense, Gai Isla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Frisco Santavida. The Espana fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frisco Santavida should have stopped the shot. When Gorosti Ahedo fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Espana's protests and gave Gorosti Ahedo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Molinera booed when Espana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gorosti Ahedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Espana getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Gurutz Goyo hit a great ball. After 21 minutes Espana's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marques Panadero who took care of the corner kick. Frisco Santavida made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andrea Riega in the 24th minute. If Gai Isla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Espana's Andoni Mera got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frisco Santavida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gai Isla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Higinio Valderrabano charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Higinio Valderrabano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 37th minute, Higinio Valderrabano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frisco Santavida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gai Isla, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Andrea Riega in the 46thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Frisco Santavida, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andoni Mera to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gai Isla in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frisco Santavida prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eneas Lezcano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andoni Mera, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raebert Guia got free with Eneas Lezcano in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Frisco Santavida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gai Isla in the 74th minute of play. After 77 minutes of play, Espana's Raebert Guia made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eneas Lezcano was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andrea Riega in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frisco Santavida saved Espana from getting behind. Gai Isla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Frisco Santavida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gorosti Ahedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Raebert Guia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eneas Lezcano having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Behe Portal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Molinera's Behe Portal got a free kick in the 95th minute. Gurutz Goyo, 96 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
