Carinagua FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Placido Leys was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Claudio Seron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inko Arriola having to interfere. Inko Arriola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Placido Leys in the 10th minute of play. Stephen Trigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Obano Regules having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Juanito Cunyat ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Obano Regules was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 20th minute, Claudio Seron got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Carinagua FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Joseph Garavito hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute, Juanito Cunyat got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Joaquim Vasallo fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chinchorreta FC's protests and gave Joaquim Vasallo a yellow card for diving instead. Obano Regules showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stephen Trigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. If Placido Leys had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36thth minute of the game Placido Leys who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chinchorreta FC's Inko Arriola was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 41st minute, Placido Leys left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Carinagua FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After having played for 46 minutes, Joaquim Vasallo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chinchorreta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquim Vasallo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claudio Seron was the one to do the kick off. Juanito Cunyat struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Obano Regules didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chinchorreta FC. Stephen Trigo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Obano Regules read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Juanito Cunyat got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Chinchorreta FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Quintin Benero hit a great ball. Inko Arriola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Seron in the 69th minute of play. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Chinchorreta FC's goalkeeper Inko Arriola, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Chinchorreta FC booed when Carinagua FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Placido Leys didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chinchorreta FC's Juanito Cunyat got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 83 minutes into the game, Claudio Seron cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Inko Arriola was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Inko Arriola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Seron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Chinchorreta FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Carinagua FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Carinagua FC.
