Spectators: 6710 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1710, VIP seats: 0) Amurug FC's Manel Campesino started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Reno Lemayo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mincho Santillion having to interfere. Paulino Puig took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Espiridion Barrantes. Espiridion Barrantes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Mincho Santillion stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manel Campesino's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulino Puig in the 13th minute of play forced Amurug FC's goalkeeper Espiridion Barrantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manel Campesino in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mincho Santillion saved Higoron from getting behind. When Higoron's Mane Cobreros in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Amurug FC's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlondo Orihuela in the 21st minute of play forced Amurug FC's goalkeeper Espiridion Barrantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute Paulino Puig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Espiridion Barrantes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Reno Lemayo during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 29th match minute, Amurug FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reno Lemayo to maneuver through the defense. Paulino Puig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Espiridion Barrantes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Puig in the 33rd minute of play. Orlondo Orihuela recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Higoron's Paulino Puig got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Caradaro Corton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Mincho Santillion tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manel Campesino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mincho Santillion having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulino Puig was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Higoron's Crispo Cora got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute of the match Beti Acenero sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mincho Santillion skillfully saved the ball. Espiridion Barrantes made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Orlondo Orihuela sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Amurug FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Micael Perlacia hit a great ball. Paulino Puig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amurug FC's Espiridion Barrantes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Amurug FC from getting a goal against them. If Paulino Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 69 played minutes Amurug FC got a freekick which was hit by Reno Lemayo. If Orlondo Orihuela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mincho Santillion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Odol Cebadilla in the 82nd minute of the match. Manel Campesino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 88th minute, Caradaro Corton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mincho Santillion was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. When Paulino Puig came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Higoron fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulino Puig couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Amurug FC's goalkeeper Espiridion Barrantes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Higoron players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Amurug FC.
