After 12 minutes of play, Excalibur's Johnnie Watson made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Silvio Garcia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Excalibur's Txaran Padriña played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcial Gaztañondo in the 15th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Ongile Laboy dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Silvio Garcia, 3-0. After having played for 20 minutes, Fulgencio Peñalba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Excalibur's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fulgencio Peñalba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Toloso getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Marcial Gaztañondo hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Toloso's zone, Fulgencio Peñalba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvio Garcia came out of the goal and Fulgencio Peñalba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th minute Ongile Laboy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvio Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Txaran Padriña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Gañona, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Johnnie Watson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ignacio Gañona during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Excalibur's Ezkerra Ursua was substituted for Vela Olabarrieta. In the 42nd minute, Ignacio Gañona hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Excalibur's Txaran Padriña played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Helder Tul in the 45th minute of play.

In the 57th match minute, Toloso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ignacio Gañona to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Excalibur's Ezkerra Ursua got a free kick in the 58th minute. Serafin Raebert charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Johnnie Watson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvio Garcia having to interfere. Txaran Padriña made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcial Gaztañondo in the 95th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Excalibur players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
