Inocente Aquejano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Orlondon Peñaranda's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Estevam Llorente managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monasterio FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Estevam Llorente was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alejandro Obaldia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Monasterio FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mulatico were winning 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lucio Izcaray made a kick off. After 53 played minutes Monasterio FC got a freekick which was hit by Galsino Bracero. 54 minutes into the match, Mulatico's Cordaro Vados broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ximenez Rosado's late challenge caught a Monasterio FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ximenez Rosado helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Monasterio FC booed when Mulatico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ximenez Rosado didn't get a good kick on the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Monasterio FC's Araoz Xandri broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 74th minute, Lucio Izcaray left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mulatico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Lucio Izcaray received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Inocente Aquejano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Inocente Aquejano was out of position in the 88 minute of play, and Lucio Izcaray capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lucio Izcaray really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. Mulatico's Orlondon Peñaranda got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mulatico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
