In the 3rdth minute of the game Izotz Asensio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pecaya FC's Chico Hilari was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Izotz Asensio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gizon Somarribas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Jerrald Castañedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Izotz Asensio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Severiano Bango's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chico Hilari read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lluc Villarmerin during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 22nd minute, Lluc Villarmerin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Eskuin Olar fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pecaya FC's protests and gave Eskuin Olar a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 26 minutes, Izotz Asensio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gasparillal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Izotz Asensio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chico Hilari showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Izotz Asensio, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Jerrald Castañedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jairo Terrazas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Izotz Asensio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute of the match, Izotz Asensio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Chico Hilari saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A collision led to Pecaya FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Eduardo Torcida hit a great ball. Jerrald Castañedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gizon Somarribas's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. After 45 played minutes, Pecaya FC's Urdin Enterria shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jerrald Castañedo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pecaya FC reached it. Pecaya FC's Jairo Terrazas got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gizon Somarribas to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Gasparillal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clis Gaiztarro to maneuver through the defense. Gizon Somarribas was extremely unlucky when he, in the 56th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Chico Hilari made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iratzeder Cayon in the 76th minute of play. If Severiano Bango had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 82 played minutes Gasparillal got a freekick which was hit by Izotz Asensio. Pecaya FC's Jairo Terrazas got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 88th minute, Clis Gaiztarro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chico Hilari showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Izotz Asensio in the 93rd minute of the match. Chico Hilari showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Izotz Asensio, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. In the 97th minute, Severiano Bango ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Chico Hilari was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
