Spectators: 7524 (Terracing: 5644, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) Canaveralito FC's Espiridion Armero started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, CA Hispano Barquisimeto's goal looked a bit too open when Oro Vasco came free, but Mario Cordero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Espiridion Armero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Mario Cordero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Espiridion Armero in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mario Cordero saved CA Hispano Barquisimeto from getting behind. Espiridion Armero took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mario Cordero. Mario Cordero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After some careless play in the Canaveralito FC defense, Xizavier Heredia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claudio Chavarria. The Canaveralito FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claudio Chavarria should have stopped the shot. If Oro Vasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, CA Hispano Barquisimeto's goal looked a bit too open when Oro Vasco came free, but Mario Cordero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Canaveralito FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Mauricio Taladriz hit a great ball. The supporters of CA Hispano Barquisimeto booed when Canaveralito FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lartaun Pandilla didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Espiridion Armero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oro Vasco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mario Cordero having to make a save. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Canaveralito FC's goalkeeper Claudio Chavarria, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mario Cordero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Espiridion Armero in the 43rd minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Isidro Enderica made the kick off in the second half. If Bartuelo Enciso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Espiridion Armero in the 60th minute of play forced CA Hispano Barquisimeto's goalkeeper Mario Cordero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. CA Hispano Barquisimeto's Mario Cordero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Espiridion Armero in the 61st minute of play. Xizavier Heredia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Claudio Chavarria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Canaveralito FC's Espiridion Armero in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CA Hispano Barquisimeto's goalie prevented a goal. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Espiridion Armero took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Mario Cordero to make any attempt to save it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lartaun Pandilla during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 90 played minutes Canaveralito FC got a freekick which was hit by Lartaun Pandilla. 95 minutes into the match, Oro Vasco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mario Cordero. CA Hispano Barquisimeto's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oro Vasco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. The CA Hispano Barquisimeto fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Canaveralito FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
