Spectators: 6701 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1701, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Pio Neila started the match with the kick off. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carauchi's goalkeeper Napier Breton, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Carauchi's Augusto Veguri got a free kick in the 10th minute. In the 11th minute Pio Neila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Napier Breton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pio Neila in the 12th minute of play forced Carauchi's goalkeeper Napier Breton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Pio Neila had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Napier Breton. Carauchi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pio Neila was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Pio Neila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Napier Breton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nerio Crespo might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Omar Castrillon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nerio Crespo ran back to his position shaking his head. Chorche Molledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Napier Breton having to interfere. Malpaso's Pio Neila got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Carauchi's Napier Breton got control of the ball when Chorche Molledo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Nerio Crespo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carauchi's supporters rose to their feet, but Nerio Crespo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Omar Castrillon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pasqual Hualde made a kick off. Pio Neila might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Napier Breton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pio Neila ran back to his position shaking his head. Zernin Villagran kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Pasqual Hualde recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chorche Molledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Napier Breton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Malpaso's Pio Neila in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Carauchi's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Malpaso booed when Carauchi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Veguri didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 77 played minutes, Malpaso's Xano Malmonje shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Napier Breton came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Malpaso reached it. Carauchi's Augusto Veguri suffered a sore thigh after 78 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Zernin Villagran's late challenge caught a Carauchi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zernin Villagran helped the player get up and apologised. Zernin Villagran hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Omar Castrillon made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Nerio Crespo sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Carauchi booed when Malpaso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zernin Villagran didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pasqual Hualde blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Omar Castrillon having to make a save. Nerio Crespo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 97thth minute, Omar Castrillon skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal.
