The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Godofredo Buyeres showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Godofredo Buyeres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dantae Bellmunt in the 29th minute of play. Zemario Martinena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Demesio Rubayo in the 33rd minute. In the 36th minute, Dantae Bellmunt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Varachar's Lano Tresgallo got a free kick in the 39th minute. After 40 played minutes, Guaranoco FC's Ambrosio Pizaño shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Godofredo Buyeres came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Guaranoco FC reached it. Demesio Rubayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mancio Munet was the one to do the kick off. When Mancio Munet came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Varachar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mancio Munet couldn't finish the play. Varachar's Godofredo Buyeres proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Varachar from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Guaranoco FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Honesto Amundarain hit a great ball. Godofredo Buyeres acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 58th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Dunixi Sotorrio. An unexpected shot in the 61st minute by Dantae Bellmunt got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Romildo Betancur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vito Agado kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Guaranoco FC's Gonzo Baiges sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Godofredo Buyeres narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Demesio Rubayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 74 minutes into the game, Dantae Bellmunt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Godofredo Buyeres was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gonzo Baiges's late challenge caught a Varachar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gonzo Baiges helped the player get up and apologised. Zemario Martinena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mancio Munet, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. If Dantae Bellmunt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute, Romildo Betancur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 84 minutes, Dantae Bellmunt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guaranoco FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dantae Bellmunt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dunixi Sotorrio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Godofredo Buyeres. Varachar's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dantae Bellmunt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dantae Bellmunt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romildo Betancur struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Godofredo Buyeres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guaranoco FC. The Varachar fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Guaranoco FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
