In the 25th minute Josepe Cardiel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramos Azcoitia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victorino Iturbide might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jose Regaño. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Victorino Iturbide ran back to his position shaking his head. Sanchez Rubin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jose Regaño having to make a save. In the 34th minute, Victorino Iturbide got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 44th minute, Leo Portocarrero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Guiripa FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Josepe Cardiel made a kick off. Cordarrel Canton hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the last second Jose Regaño throw himself and got hold of the ball when Victorino Iturbide in the 60thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Jose Regaño took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorino Iturbide, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lekubegi Becerril sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Guiripa FC booed when Tarabacoa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustin Encio didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Victorino Iturbide got free in front of the goal in the 78th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Jose Regaño was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Sanchez Rubin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jose Regaño having to interfere. A collision led to Guiripa FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Federico Herriaga hit a great ball. In the 91st minute of the match Ivon Ramirez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ramos Azcoitia showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ramos Azcoitia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ticho Figueiras in the 92nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Lekubegi Becerril's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ramos Azcoitia was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. Victorino Iturbide was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 96th minute. Guiripa FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Guiripa FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
