Manolito Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Eriz Iriusta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. After the first half Maria were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eriz Iriusta to make the kick off. Ostots Varandalla struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Imanol Comas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maria. Ceferino Encinas's late challenge caught a Araguaney FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ceferino Encinas helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Maria fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 76th minute. Penalty! Araguaney FC's Imanol Comas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ostots Varandalla in the 81st minute of play. Criston Varsana's late challenge caught a Araguaney FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Duardo Telleria's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frantxizko Mogrovejo was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. After 87 played minutes Eriz Iriusta rounded Araguaney FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-3. If Ostots Varandalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Araguaney FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Maria's performance. The match ended with a win for Maria.
