Horacio Artes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Damaso Zartucha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute, George Espino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezziola fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Sindo Mendosa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Damaso Zartucha. Venezziola's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 37th minute by George Espino got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Guillerme Ayarza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gualantalao FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Guillerme Ayarza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damaso Zartucha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guillerme Ayarza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, George Espino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Francisco Trillo. Pellas Ocampo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Gualantalao FC's goalkeeper Francisco Trillo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 63 minutes into the game, Venezziola's Pellas Ocampo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Francisco Trillo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. 67 minutes into the game, George Espino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Francisco Trillo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. George Espino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Francisco Trillo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Guillerme Ayarza was extremely unlucky when he, in the 81st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 86 minutes into the game, Venezziola's Pellas Ocampo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Francisco Trillo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Guillerme Ayarza put it in 5-2 from a short distance just to the right of Damaso Zartucha. Many of Gualantalao FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Gualantalao FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Venezziola were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
