The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bertin Ibaute showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Estebano Lugardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. After a rather tough play, Chupadal FC's Checa Guizabal got a free kick in the 11th minute. Filipe Hornos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lawrence Argandoña having to interfere. Chesus Mañueco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Lawrence Argandoña tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 17 minutes of play, Chupadal FC's Estebano Lugardo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bertin Ibaute was left in no man's land by his defense there! Filipe Hornos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Tacariguita's Chesus Mañueco slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lawrence Argandoña. That made the score 1-1 after 29 minutes of play. Bertin Ibaute made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xian Cabañeros in the 37th minute of play. After having played for 38 minutes, Estebano Lugardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chupadal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Estebano Lugardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Tacariguita's zone, Xian Cabañeros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bertin Ibaute came out of the goal and Xian Cabañeros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jordy Tella kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Bertin Ibaute didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Estebano Lugardo went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chesus Mañueco to strike the kick off in the second half. Bertin Ibaute took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xian Cabañeros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Chesus Mañueco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tacariguita appealed in vain for a penalty, the referee looked over at the linesman, but the flag stayed down. No Penalty. After having played for 85 minutes, Estebano Lugardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 97th minute Chesus Mañueco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lawrence Argandoña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Chupadal FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
