An unexpectedly hard shot by Higinio Mediavilla in the 24th minute of play forced Menin FC's goalkeeper Sendoa Urtubia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 30 minutes, Joey Avellaneda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Menin FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joey Avellaneda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sendoa Urtubia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Javier Alcedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Cayetano Noreña kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Beliran Guixe's late challenge caught a Vivoral FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Beliran Guixe helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th match minute, Menin FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beliran Guixe to maneuver through the defense. After 85 played minutes Menin FC got a freekick which was hit by Joey Avellaneda. Higinio Mediavilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sendoa Urtubia having to interfere. Higinio Mediavilla might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sendoa Urtubia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Higinio Mediavilla ran back to his position shaking his head. 93 minutes into the match, Menin FC's Joey Avellaneda sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luzaide Pallares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luzaide Pallares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joey Avellaneda's shot from short distance in the 97th minute.
